About Me

I’m Simon Bowen, an EMCC accredited executive coach and mentor, based near Berlin, Germany. I founded and scaled Cosmetri – a B2B SaaS used by leading global cosmetic brands. In 2022, I successfully sold the company and stayed on for two more years as Product Manager to guide the M&A transition. Now, I coach founders and their teams who are shaping the future – through startups and social enterprises.

Coaching and mentoring with me is:

Dynamic and intuitive

I read the room and adapt in the moment

Challenging

You’ll be stretched, not coddled

Creative and systemic

I draw from GROW, FACTS, OSKAR and systemic models

Grounded

We build in reflective practice, clarity, and actionable next steps

Why I Coach

I became the coach I wish I’d had when I really needed someone on my side.

The founder journey is exhilarating, messy, and often lonely. I want to be there for others as a sparring partner, sounding board, and guide. I work with people who are brave enough to build something meaningful, and I bring everything I’ve learned to help them succeed.

My inspiration comes from human growth. Business is the perfect arena for accelerating this. There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing someone reach their full potential and build something great. Coaching allows me to walk alongside people doing just that.

I believe in flexible structure: sometimes you need a coach, sometimes a mentor. I help you navigate that line.

I also believe in silence, stillness, and presence as sources of wisdom. As one of my mantras goes: “Don’t just do something – sit there!“.

Core Values

I trust in your intelligence and resourcefulness
Coaching is always human to human – we need to click, or it won’t work
I only work with clients and businesses I can
be fully committed to
I take clear contracting seriously: goals, ethics, expectations
I expect mutual transparency and radical honesty
I will stretch you if I sense it serves your growth

A Bit More About Me

I live with my partner Kristina in the countryside, about one hour from Berlin. We co-run a local café and community space in our village that hosts exhibitions and events. Berlin’s vibrant culture, international community, and thriving startup scene make it an inspiring location.

My journey toward coaching began at 25, when I taught architectural design at Oxford Brookes University. It wasn’t coaching or mentoring in the formal sense, but it was my first experience supporting others in unlocking their creative and innovative potential – and I loved it! Between 2013 and 2019 I taught and coached MBA students in innovation at HSBA in Hamburg. After successfully exiting my software company Cosmetri in 2024, I returned to what feels like my true calling: helping others build bold, meaningful ventures with clarity, creativity, and confidence.

Outside of coaching, I sing tenor in a local choir, run regularly, play golf and like to work with my hands. During the pandemic we lived in a tiny house that I built. In August I founded a new startup RadarIQ – an AI-augmented executive coaching platform. Watch this space for more updates on this!
